"I love skirts. I wear them all day everyday. For me it’s 'my thing' I feel comfortable, confident and myself. I’ve always felt that sometimes brands don’t always get it right with skirts. I created Melmant as a sort of mood board brand. It’s not about what’s the hottest trend right now but more about the different and timeless qualities within fashion, that I am inspired by. Creating something that is so representative of me, meant that Kenya was the only option. That’s where i feel most comfortable and representing Kenya with fashion as more than just “exotic prints” is so important to me"
